Syllabus
We will cover the first four chapters of the text, and possibly some of the fifth.We will mostly follow the order in the text.

Homework and Quizzes
Homework will not be assigned but suggested problems will be given.Most mondays there will be a quiz at the start of class.
It will usually be one of the suggested problems.
The tests will draw largely from the assigned problems.
(If you want to do well, it is also suggested that you also attend the seminar, in which you will do much of the homework.)
Tests
There will be two tests. The first one will be on Apr 20 or 24, and the final will be on June 08 or 12 or 15. We will decide the date of the exams at least 2 weeks before the exam.Grading
